INM seeks to create and disseminate research demonstrating the efficacy of whole-person medicine, inspire a movement of accessible good health, and complement our conventional system with a mind-body-spirit approach that prioritizes diet, lifestyle, and nutrition. We see a future where every clinic is integrated with knowledgeable practitioners specializing in whole person health.

We believe that whole person medicine, with its unique principles and practices, has the potential to reverse the tide of chronic illness that overwhelms existing healthcare systems and to empower people to achieve and maintain their optimal lifelong health, all while costing individuals and the government fewer dollars.

Whole person healthcare is the integrative approach that emphasizes prevention, treatment, and optimal health through the use of therapeutic methods and substances that encourage individuals’ inherent self-healing processes. INM works diligently to promote and advance forward this key to healing our nation’s sickness at both a microscopic and macro level.
We do this by strengthening the field of whole person medicine from the inside by facilitating robust intra-professional communication and supporting alliance-building across healthcare professions. INM already supports a wide variety of activities related to our 3 pillars: public education, access to natural medical care, and expanding evidence-based research.

Natural medicine was once all humans had to heal themselves. We have come a long way since then, and modern medicine is a marvel. And still, the inherent ability of our bodies to heal remains core to keeping and attaining vitality and optimal health. Naturopathic Medicine calls this vital force the Vis Medicatrix Naturae, the healing power of nature. The power of the medicine of nature is still showing us its secrets. The Institute for Natural Medicine (INM) is dedicated to helping bring this power back into healthcare and raising awareness of those providers that practice in a holistic, inclusive way to deliver true whole person health.

- Naming the Institute for Natural Medicine as a beneficiary of your retirement plan assets can make a more significant gift than you may have thought possible without letting go of assets when you need them most. Your estate may receive a charitable estate tax deduction on the value of your gift.
- Making us a beneficiary of your will or trust by inserting just a sentence into your will or revocable living trust. Your gift does not affect your current financial situation, and you can change your plans anytime if circumstances change.
- Funding a charitable gift annuity allows you or someone else you choose to receive immediate, set payments for life. Your payments are entirely predictable and not affected by stock or real estate market fluctuations. An annuity also makes you immediately eligible for charitable income tax deductions.

More About Donating
If you are considering a gift for furthering one of our sponsored projects, as required by federal tax law, we must inform you that once your donation has been processed, the gift is “complete” to the Institute for Natural Medicine. In other words, it becomes the property of the Institute for Natural Medicine with exclusive legal control over the donated funds.
We make a good faith effort to honor a donor’s intent and utilize a gift for the purposes of the project named. However, the Institute for Natural Medicine reserves the right to re-grant gifts where, in our sole discretion, the recommended project is not furthering specified charitable purposes or when, for example, such [project falls out of compliance with a federal or state regulatory authority.
If the Institute for Natural Medicine cannot re-grant a donation to or for the purposes of a project that you have recommended, the Institute for Natural Medicine may in its sole discretion select an alternate recipient, expend the funds in furtherance of the intended charitable purpose itself, or contact you for a different recommendation.
