INM Announces Honorary Board to Promote Whole Person Health

Seattle, Wash. — The Institute for Natural Medicine (INM) is proud to announce the formation of an Honorary Board, composed of distinguished health experts who support our mission to advance naturopathic medicine as part of a prevention-focused, integrative healthcare system. The board’s establishment marks a significant step forward in our efforts to address healthcare challenges through collaborative, nature-based solutions.

Board Members: Champions of Health and Wellness

The INM Honorary Board brings together a diverse group of health leaders and professionals, each committed to advancing the principles and practice of natural medicine. Board members will provide strategic guidance, build partnerships with like-minded organizations, and forge new paths for innovative healthcare initiatives.

Inaugural Honorary Board Members (Spring 2024):

  • Jeff Bland, PhD, FACN, FACB, CNS — International thought leader, recognized founder of the functional medicine movement, and pioneer of the Personalized Lifestyle Medicine Institute and Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM)
  • Kent Thornburg, PhD, FAPS — Professor emeritus of cardiovascular medicine at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), epigenetics research pioneer, former director of the OHSU Center for Developmental Health and the Moore Institute for Nutrition & Wellness.
  • Arvin Jenab, ND — Medical director of naturopathic medicine and director of the ND residency program at the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute at the University of California, Irvine
  • Len Wisneski, MD, FACP — Distinguished educator, author, and researcher; nationally recognized as one of the foremost leaders of integrative medicine and whole health.  Chair emeritus of the Integrative Health Policy Consortium (IHPC), endocrinologist, and integrative medicine clinician.
  • Mark Percival, DC, ND — Educator, author, clinician, and pioneering founder of Health Coach®, an internationally recognized holistic approach to health
  • Mary Hardy, MD — Nationally recognized leader in integrative oncology, founder of the Cedars–Sinai Integrative Medicine Clinic, and faculty member of the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine (AIHM) fellowship
  • Michael D. Levin, B.A. — Globally recognized expert in quality leadership and regulatory compliance of natural products and medicines.
  • Tabatha Parker, ND — Former executive director of AIHM and global leader in integrative health, known for contributing to the World Health Organization (WHO) Benchmarks for Training in Naturopathy
  • Erin Doyle — Health education expert, leadership thought leader and public health advocate.
