Leonard A. Wisneski, MD, FACP

Dr. Wisneski is a clinical professor of medicine at the George Washington University and an adjunct faculty member at Georgetown University and in the University of Colorado’s Department of Medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Nutrition.
Dr. Wisneski brings more than 30 years of expertise in integrative medicine and endocrinology to his leadership roles on the boards and committees of numerous academic and national organizations. He is chairman emeritus of the Integrative Health Policy Consortium and serves on the advisory board of the Academic Collaborative for Integrative Health and the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy. He is a founding member of Georgetown University’s CAM Curriculum Planning Committee, a founding member of the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine board, past chair of the NIH Advisory Board on Frontier Sciences at the University of Connecticut, and former board member for the American Holistic Medical Association. Dr. Wisneski also co-founded and led American Whole Health as regional president and medical director.
A renowned expert on integrative health practice and policy, Dr. Wisneski has published more than 40 scholarly articles and a textbook, the Scientific Basis of Integrative Health (third edition). He earned his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical College and completed training in internal medicine and endocrinology at the George Washington University.
