An internationally recognized expert in immunology and integrative medicine, Dr. Heather Zwickey has been a leader in natural medicine research for over 20 years. After earning a Ph.D. in Immunology and Microbiology from the University of Colorado and completing a fellowship at Yale, she was instrumental in building the research programs at the National University of Natural Medicine. She founded the Helfgott Research Institute and the School of Graduate Studies, where she currently teaches. Dr. Zwickey’s research focuses on the gut-brain axis, neuroinflammation, and nutrition, particularly in the context of Parkinson’s disease.
