Brent A. Bauer, MD
Research Director of Integrative Medicine Program, Mayo Clinic
Dr. Bauer is a professor of medicine who has spent 32 years at the Mayo Clinic. He has written several book chapters and more than 200 papers on the scientific evaluation of integrative medicine therapies, his primary research interest. He is also the medical editor of the Mayo Clinic Guide to Integrative Medicine and Mayo Clinic Guide to Holistic Health and a member of numerous scientific review panels. Dr. Bauer founded Mayo’s Integrative Medicine Program and is currently collaborating on over 20 studies evaluating therapies ranging from acupuncture to valerian. Founder and former medical director of Rejuvenate, the first spa at Mayo Clinic, Dr. Bauer is also the former Medical Director of the Well Living Lab, which explores the impact of the indoor environment on wellness.
