Interprofessional Education
Interprofessional education (IPE) strengthens health practitioners’ roles on care teams and helps ensure patients benefit from the collective expertise of a connected healthcare system. INM is committed to fostering high-quality IPE opportunities that bring together healthcare providers from diverse disciplines.
By breaking down barriers between provider types, there’s more space for meaningful dialogue, mutual respect, and shared learning. These experiences not only enrich professional development but also enhance the ability to deliver coordinated, whole-person care.
This lecture was recorded at the University of Colorado and features John Finnell, ND, PhD(C), MPH, and Sharad Kohli, MD.
Together, they explore the implementation of Whole Person Pain Care, an interdisciplinary, stepped-care approach that addresses all aspects of a person’s health, life, and relationships. The presentation highlights how this model is being applied within a Federally Qualified Health Center and the Veterans Health Administration.
