Established in 1998 as the Nutrition in Complementary Care Dietetic Practice Group, the Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine (DIFM) is a specialty practice group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics representing over 4,000 Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs), Dietetic Technicians, Registered (DTRs), and dietetic students who embrace a patient-centered, healing-oriented approach that addresses the root causes of disease through evidence-based integrative and functional medical nutrition therapy.
