David J. Schleich PhD.
(Interim Chair) 
President – National College of Natural Medicine
Dr. Schleich is the president of the National College of Natural Medicine.  He has been in the higher education and health fields for over 30 years. Formerly President of CCNM for seven years, he was also Vice-President Academic of Niagara College and President of Truestar Health. He was a professor for many years and is a respected leader in the natural health field in Canada and the United States.

Lise Alschuler, ND, FBNO
 
Naturopathic Specialists, LLC

Dr. Lise Alschuler is a naturopathic physician with Board certification in naturopathic oncology.  She practices naturopathic oncology at Naturopathic Specialists LLC in Scottsdale AZ, specializing in prevention and naturopathic care for people who have been affected by cancer in their lives.  Dr. Alschuler has authored many articles in professional and popular press publications and has co-authored Definitive Guide to Cancer: An Integrative Approach to Prevention, Treatment and Healing (Celestial Arts, 2007). She gives presentations about integrated healthcare, naturopathic medicine and naturopathic oncology nationally and internationally.  Dr. Alschuler currently serves as the President of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians.

David Barnes BS, MS, PhD

Dr. Barnes attended graduate school at the University of California at Davis. There he studied animal science and nutrition receiving his M.S. (1986) and Ph.D. (1990). From 1990 to 1995, Dr. Barnes held a senior research fellowship at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences in North Carolina where he studied toxicology in marine animals and the role minerals play in insulin-regulated metabolism. In 1995, he took an assistant professor position at the University of Arkansas where he earned the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers, awarded to the top 60 young scientists in the U.S. each year, for his research on the interrelationship between mercury and insulin. In 1999, Dr. Barnes joined the faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to study the multi-drug resistance proteins involved in the detoxification mechanisms of the gut in humans and birds. He has also been active in studying the mechanism of action of dietary phenolic compounds on cholesterol metabolism. In 2004, his interests led him to accept the position of Research Director at Standard Process Inc., a manufacturer of whole food nutrition supplements.

Instructor for Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.

Serena Ma
Serena Ma, ND, MS, LAc

Dr. Serena Ma practices both naturopathic and Oriental medicines in New York City and has particular interest in raising public awareness in New York, in hopes of licensure soon.  In addition to her training at Bastyr University, she also studied acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine at Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the Yu-Sheng Chinese Medical Clinic in Taipei. 

Dr. Serena Ma had taught at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York.  She is also a member of the AANP, NYANP, and a diplomate of the NCCAOM.

Chris Meletis
Dr. Chris D. Meletis is on a mission to "Change America's Health One Person at a Time." His devotion to this motto is evident in the care he gives his patients in private practice as well as the countless hours he spends in pursuits that further the cause of alternative health. His devotion to helping those in need is reflected in one of his most rewarding endeavors — starting 16 clinics that provide care for uninsured families. These clinics offer an array of services from purely naturopathic to fully integrated yielding upwards of 16,000 patient visits per year for the uninsured poor. In addition, he is a member of the Advisory Board for the Portland Public Schools Head Start program.

Gannady Raskin, MD, ND

Gannady Raskin, MD, ND received his MD in Ukraine and ND from Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. Dr. Raskin has been in medicine since 1980. He served in the Armed Forces as a Physician Assistant. After completing medical studies he practiced general medicine in Ukraine. He has been involved in naturopathic medical education since 1999. Gannady served at Canadian College as a Resident, Medical Director, Chief Naturopathic Medical Officer and Dean of Clinical Education. He held an appointment as member of the Ontario government advisory committee on regulation of naturopathic medicine. Dr Raskin is a Board director of the Council on Naturopathic Medical Education (CNME), a Member of the Board of the Association of Accredited Naturopathic Medical Colleges (AANMC), and a member of the Washington state Vaccine Advisory Committee (VAC). Currently he is the Dean of the School of Naturopathic Medicine at Bastyr University in Seattle.

Peter Ross
 

Peter Ross is an advertising / marketing professional who resides in Portland, OR. He is also currently a Marine Corps Officer serving in the Reserves. In 2006, after returning from service in Iraq he saw first hand the benefits of Natural Medicine after seeking care from a Naturopathic Physcian in Portland. In 2007 he participted in lobbying efforts to educate members Congress and the U.S. Senate about Naturopathic Medicine as an Iraq War Veteran.  His wife Leah Hollon is a recent graduate of National College of Natural Medicine and is currently a Resident at the school. Peter Ross is a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia and a candidate at the Marylhurst University MBA program with an anticipated graduation in 2009.

Sue Yirku (President)

Susan Yirku is the current president of the Institute for Natural Medicine and has served a role in this organization since 1997. Sue has been responsible for program administration, building community relationships, addressing regulatory issues and training in education, healthcare and social service settings for over 25 years. She is the current Associate Vice President of College Relations at the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland Oregon. The Portland City council has appointed Sue to the Macadam Urban Renewal Advisory Committee.  Sue has served on the Naturopathic Coordinating Council, the Oregon Hepatitis C Planning and Advisory Group, the Coalition for Community Health Clinics and the OR Attorney General’s Sexual Assault Task Force Campus Response Committee.
 


Brady Davis
Chief Executive Officer

Brady Davis is co-founder of EHP and manages the strategic direction while creating new business and partnership opportunities. He has over seventeen years of experience in sales, business development and management in the healthcare marketplace. Brady has successfully developed and managed sales and marketing teams for Fortune 500 companies including Siemens and  Hewlett Packard. Brady was founding director and COO of TeleMedic Systems, Inc. a medical device and software company sold to a UK private equity firm in 2002. Brady is also an owner in SaluGenecists, Inc. a proprietary personalized Health and Lifestyle Management Software Tool used by EHP clients.
